    Objective
    Objective of this project is to filter and edit for generation of 1&2 foot contours and also generate intensity images to draw hydro features like lakes, streams and rivers from the provided 4PPM LiDAR data.

    Project setup & Planning
    Setup a LiDAR project to define the project area, tile size, for visualization surface setting, contour setting to edit the data.

    The project planning includes, defining specific input and output parameters of the LiDAR products. The project planning area is actually a processing area which can be defined by drawing shape.

    LiDAR data filtering and editing
    We processed automatic ground classification in Terrascan then we opened each tile with neighbor points to create surface and manually edit ground by removing unwanted ground points such as building, air points, unwanted vegetation and spikes and also we will add missing ground points like missing bunds and below vegetation area ground points. Then generate the required accuracy contours to edit ground points.

    Broad level work flow

    Generation of Intensity Images:
    Using LiDAR data with tile in Terrascan we generated intensity images by using Terrascan project file by entering required input setting.


    DTM - Surface

    Collecting break lines of Hydro features:
    After generation of automatic intensity images in order, we started to draw hydro feature break lines for each tile. After digitizing of all tiles the data is merged and run over QC tools prepared in-house to filter vector data.

    Quality Assurance
    After completion of all LiDAR data editing and vector data we checked for the matching of vector data with LiDAR data. Check LiDAR data for eliminating the errors such as edge matching, spikes, number of output points compared with inputs, point missing area and also check vector data errors such as over shoot and under shoot, missing area and closing of the features.
