    Client
    The client is a leading LiDAR and Photogrammetry service provider company. Their proprietary LiDAR technology and services use GPS/Inertial navigation technology on an aerial platform. They specialize in GNSS data collection, Seismic survey project management, LiDAR ground truthing and Environmental monitoring services.

    Objective
    The key objective of these projects was to deliver ortho photo with resolution of 0.5 to 10 cm/pixel with color adjustment and all seam lines between the pictures. Also bridges and highest houses (more than 40 meters) must be done as vector element that we have nice looking ortho photo. Each ortho photo output must have size no more than 400 MB and it must be in tiff format with TFW file (world file). These projects were processed using Terrasolid packages.

    Services Rendered

    Processing airborne images
    • TerraPhoto: Import trajectories for images. Create mission. Compute image list. Generate thumbnails for raw images. Place tiles and outline for ortho mosaic.
    • TerraPhoto: Search tie points. Adjust image list and save list using new name.
    • TerraPhoto: In camera view, find XY shift and define XY transformation to shift images to fit ground control points. Apply transformation to image list and save.
    • TerraPhoto and TerraScan: Display laser points by intensity and use camera view for finding dXY transformation. Apply dXY transformation to laser blocks and model key points. If a geo id model is supplied, adjust image list, laser blocks and model key points using the supplied geo id model.
    • TerraScan: Output control report to verify the overall elevation accuracy of ground points with a good number of known points inside the project area. Define dZ transformation and shift elevations of laser blocks, model key points and image list. Save image list.
    • TerraPhoto: Search seam lines automatically. Manually improve image seam lines. Place smearing polygons over water.
    • TerraPhoto and TerraScan: Place surface objects to fix distortion at bridges etc.
    • Photoshop: Correct colour balancing of images.
