Sub surface analysis development for a large oil & gas company in Middle East.

Background and Objectives

Using ESRI ArcObjects technology, custom tools were developed for contouring & gridding of well data. Application allows user to input point (z values), line (contours), and grid (ESRI Grid) data as input. User can also specify line and area faults.

Key Aspects of the Project

- Application was ESRI based solution and provided output in ESRI native data formats (GRID, shapefile)
- Gridding routine doesn’t use Spatial Analysis extension.
- A gridding engine was developed as part of this project.
- Wizard based solution that allows user to specify several criterions.
- Allows users point and contouring editing and use this as input for stepwise analysis.
