The founders of Magnasoft Consulting India (P) Ltd have roped in the former Managing Directors of Compaq Computer India (P) Ltd and Autodesk India (P) Ltd, Abhishek Mukherjee and S Sridhar respectively, to strengthen its management team.
Both of them have termed their entry into Magnasoft as a "new beginning" and beginning of a new life. Abhishek is the Chairman and CEO, while Sridhar will be the Vice-Chairman and MD.
Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, Abhishek said that Magnasoft was founded two years ago with funding from Global Technology Ventures. In the last two years, it has developed domain specific GIS applications across platforms and devices for enterprise wide integration.
"Magnasoft is positioning itself uniquely, with focus on developing GIS/GPS applications to make location based information available at any place and over any device in a wide variety of industries such as telecom, power, logistics, transportation and government. Magnasoft will be developing applications on leading software platforms from Autodesk, ERSI, MapInfo and with others," he added.
Sridhar said that their responsibility will be to establish Magnasoft as a leading provider of GIS/GPS solutions from India in the next three years. It hopes to clock in a revenue close to Rs.6.5 to 7.5 crore. It has a workforce of 129 and the attrition level is the lowest in the industry.
Magnasoft has developed Eventor (an online event management solution), VTS and municipal applications. It is in the process of developing patient tracking applications for hospitals.
"We have offices in the US, France, the UAE, Malaysia and Indonesia. It has secured certification and recognition from National Remote Sensing Agency," Abhishek added.
