We use ortho and LiDAR data for 3D corridor mapping. All planimetric features are extracted from
ortho and LiDAR data across the path of the corridor. Based on this information, we assign the 3D
elevations to every feature. Magnasoft highly accurate 3D feature models extracted from point
cloud data help power utility providers to calculate line ratings, element sag and tension. The 3D
models depict the actual “as-built” surveys that map the relationship between all natural and

mapping services, where 2D planimetric mapping is independent of elevation and captures

wireless communications system to provide sufficient coverage and capacity for the services
required. The RF plan of a communication system has two objectives: coverage and capacity.
Coverage relates to the geographical footprint within the system that has sufficient RF signal
strength to provide for a call/data session, while capacity relates to the capability of the system

LiDAR data is captured through reflection of laser pulses. All the features are recorded as point
clouds. However, these points are not segregated based on the feature type. Therefore,
companies use Point cloud for accurately classifying and identifying features such as ground,
vegetation, buildings, bridges, water resources, powerline features and so on. Depending on the
customer requirements, Magnasoft processes the point cloud data by classifying the features
into both DTM (Digital Terrain Model) and DSM (Digital Surface Model). DTM refers to
classification of ground data points and represents all the terrain features such as ridges, hills,
valleys, depression, saddles and cliffs. DSM refers to the classification of features located
above the ground such as buildings, powerlines, bridges, vegetation, other permanent and

An Orthophoto is a geometrically rectified aerial image with a defined map projection. At
Magnasoft, we have an inbuilt capability in providing both 3 band (Red, Green and Blue) and 4
(Red, Green, Blue and Infrared) band orthophotos. We use Aerial, Thermal, Satellite and UAV
images to generate orthophotos. These ortho images are further used to measure and evaluate
the actual distance of the earth’s surface. This serves as a base reference to carry out various
